Majesty. Power. Epic. Folk.

Carving their way through the Australian metal scene like a viking longship through tempestuous seas is Brisbane’s Epic Folk Metal powerhouse, VALHALORE. Founded by guitarist Anthony Willis and vocalist Lachlan Neate in 2013, VALHALORE has been making waves with their unique brand of metal since their live debut in late 2015.

Drawing upon elements of Melodic Death, Power, and Symphonic Metal, as well as folk music and cinematic scores, VALHALORE weaves a musical tapestry that is both breathtaking and awe-inspiring. With haunting melodic passages, crushing riffs, and heartfelt lyrical journeys, VALHALORE awakens a sense of majesty within all who hear them.

Since releasing their debut self-titled EP in 2015, and critically acclaimed full-length album “Voyage Into Eternity” in 2017, VALHALORE has gone on to prove that they not only thrive in the studio, but are regarded as one of the most engaging live acts in the scene today. Their 2017 “Voyage Across Australia” tour saw the band play to a sold out Brisbane album launch, and hordes of screaming fans night after night, further solidifying VALHALORE’s place in the Australian heavy music landscape. The band went on to tour again later in 2017 with “Vik-Toberfest”, where they were once again greeted enthusiastically by fans up and down the Australian east coast.

A firm crowd favourite, VALHALORE has shared the stage with notable acts such as Eluveitie, Be’Lakor and Insomnium, and made their international debut in January 2018, traveling to Japan in support of Ensiferum, Trollfest and Wind Rose. Having also toured alongside fellow Brisbane folk metallers Lagerstein, and Norway’s maniacal Trollfest, VALHALORE is set to tour Australia again in December 2018 as the national support for Kamelot.

With writing already underway for their second album, VALHALORE has their eyes firmly set on taking the world by storm, and have no intentions of slowing their charge anytime soon.

“The band mixes the ferocity of melodic death metal, the intricacy of folk metal with the technical grace and wizardry of guitarists like Jari Mäenpää from Wintersun, for a sound that feels so organic yet inspiring.” – Metal Obsession.
