Litost Touring & Woolly Mammoth present: Rise of Avernus – ‘Intrinsic Grey’ Tour!
After a brief break from the live circuit, Rise Of Avernus are set to take their sophomore release ‘Eigengrau’ to the stage for their first shows of 2018.
“There is a certain sublime quality to the tracks that Rise Of Avernus present here, tying into their larger than life mystique … It makes ‘Eigengrau’ into a strangely reassuring bridge, a record we can’t help but to be mesmerized by and which fascinates the listener.” – Metal Injection
“Indeed, it is blatantly obvious that this band has sweated and bled over every last minute of detail in creating this masterwork, such is the breadth of its imagination and the skill inherent in its execution. It kinda has to be this way when crafting music of this nature, there can be no compromise, no shortfall in the lofty technique required to pull this type of stuff off.” – Metal Obsession

Combining and coalescing elements of black metal, doom metal, progressive rock, and folk, Elkenwood are further continuing to solidify their sound into a monster of ambience, ruin and reconstruction. There is chaos within beauty, and beauty within chaos. This is Elkenwood.
Darklore’s music is best described as a hybrid between alluring epic melodic symphonic riffing, coupled with various thrash aspects. Vocals carry the spirit and elements of black and death, whilst the lyrical content falls under dark fantasy, telling tales from popular lands such as The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones to their very own realm of darkness.
